More upcoming Taiwanese manufacturers of Microsoft smartphone cell phones revealed November 23, 2003 [MS Smartphone] | By anonymous 1. By now we couldnīt publish it, although we had some contacts with them and we knew it before, but now this information has been published elsewhere so we can reveal it: apart from known Taiwanese: 
(on picture above: flag of Taiwan) ... hardware vendors, that already released or announced Microsoft smartphone phones - High Tech Computer (HTC), Mitac International, Compal Communications, and Asustek Computer (aka "Asus") - there are more in Taiwan! Apart from above mentioned also these two Taiwan based manufacturers are preparing Microsoft smartphone phones and will be releasing them next year: Lite-on Technology, First International Computer. On contrary to Symbian, many Taiwan based vendors hint that cooperation with Microsoft in the development of cell phones is beneficial to them: Samuel Wang, vice-president and general manager of Mitac, said a partnership with Microsoft means his company can tap on its brand name and widespread resources, such as its marketing muscle.
