Some time ago we have been reporting about free chess program for Smartphone 2003. Now it is time to recollect this news item, because Orange SPV E200 is on the market since last week and many users certainly would be happy to get chess game for free!
A fully-featured freeware chess game based on Microsoft .NET Compact Framework (available only in Smartphone 2003 smartphones, like E200):

- save/load games in FEN (Forsyth-Edwards Notation) format
- automatically resumes an interrupted game
- board editor
- move history in standard algebraic notation
- two image sets to choose from
- can rotate the board
- gives next move hints
- small size (under 200KB)

This game does not work with smartphones powered by Smartphone 2002 software (examples: Motorola MPx200, Samsung i600, SPV E100), but only with phones powered by Smartphone 2003 software (examples: SPV E200, Qtek 8080).
