4 (not 8) directional joystick in Orange SPV E200 added to the list of problems with this new smartphone November 24, 2003 [MS Smartphone] | By anonymous 1. MoDaCo - the biggest forum about Microsoft smartphones - writes: The SPV E200, Orange´s new flagship Smartphone device, is constrained with a 4 directional joystick, as opposed to the 8 way controller featured on the original SPV and SPV E100. This is terrible news for gamers, as the 8 way controller is quite simply vital for a large number of games. Our readers have already confirmed that xRick Dangerous is unplayable, Total Soccer suffers from having no diagonal movements, and further posts are reporting similar issues. To discuss at MoDaCo the issue of (unsatisfactory for gamers) joystick of Orange SPV E200 click here. We have gathered also a list of all problems of Orange SPV E200 here - so that in case of updates everybody can look up whether some problems have been corrected or not! If you would notice some problems with Orange SPV E200 not listed above, then let us know here - through the fully anonymous web form. Please note: we, at msmobiles.com are using Orange SPV E200 for some time already and it is satisfactory for our applications - ActiveSync over Bluetooth, Bluetooth headset, reuse of old accessories from SPV (like car charger) - it all works fine. While it may have some secondary teething problems, we still think that Orange SPV E200 is the most sophisticated and the best Microsoft smartphone ever released!
