Another report from COMDEX 2003

Just take a look at this picture, that presents 6 (!) various models of Microsoft smartphone powered phones:
... where you can see from the left to the right, the top to the bottom: Samsung i600 (with SDIO Wi-Fi card from SanDisk plugged in, HTC Voyager (the same as E200), i-mate (HTC Tanager), Motorola MPx200, Voq and the Compal AR11 (developer phone from Everlink Wireless). This report is originally written in German so here are some highlights from it in English:
- due to the general problems in industry, COMDEX this year was not so big as expected
- Microsoft´s presentation of Windows Mobile 2003 at COMDEX 2003 was
impressive, and Windows Mobile was present also in stands of distributors like
CompUSA
- "hands-on-area" was particularly interesting - one could touch and test there
PC, Pocket PC Phone Edition and Smartphone devices
- Dale Coffing ("enthusiast" who runs Pocket PC Passion) was employed by Microsoft to present at this trade show the devices powered by Windows Mobile
- visitors of the COMDEX trade show were very interested in Microsoft smartphones
