November 27, 2003 [MS Smartphone] | By anonymous 1.

This is a super-nice game written for Microsoft Smartphone 2003 (phones like E200 or Qtek 8080) and the .NET Compact Framework (a .NET virtual machine pre-installed in ROM of Smartphone2003):

Digger is a game for Smartphone 2003. The goal is to collect a given number diamonds and exit the level without getting hit by stones or ghosts. The status line tells you the level, number of lives, diamonds you collected and how many you need to collect. Press "*" to continue after you died. "#" will exit the program.

To download this game click here (source code is available there too!).

To install this game into your Smartphone 2003 based cell phone do as follows:
  • first download the CAB file to hard disk of your PC
  • connect your Smartphone2003 with PC with ActiveSync (over USB or over Bluetooth)
  • in ActiveSync select "explore" and navigate to mobile device and there to the folder "/Storage/Windows/Start Menu/Games/" and copy there the CAB file
  • now, in the smartphone, go to Home Screen and select "Start" soft key, and navigate to "Games" folder - you will see the new position in the menu - select it and installation will start!
  • now, in the smartphone, go to Home Screen and select "Start" soft key and scroll down (use "9 More...") untill you will see "Digger" in the menu - you can now select it and enjoy the game!

The Game Boy version, in Europe alone, sold 234,000 units, while the NES version sold 160,000 units. An additional 100,000 NES units were sold by Data East in Japan. Games in the series were published on the Amiga, Amstrad, Apple II, Atari 8 bit, Atari ST, BBC/Electron, C-64/128, Coin-Operated Arcades, Fujitsu, Game Boy, Game Boy Advance, IBM, MSX, NEC, Nintendo Family Computer, Nintendo Entertainment System, and Spectrum.
