SyChip is selling their Wi-Fi solutions to other companies that are branding them under their own names. For example the Viewsonic SDIO Wi-Fi card is in reality from SyChip. Also SDIO Wi-Fi cards from SanDisk and Socket Communications are based also on a card WLAN6060SD from SyChip. Some quotes from SyChip about their SDIO Wi-Fi card: The SDIO card is gaining strong support from accessory, PDA and smart phone partners, as it will enable a wide variety of devices, such as camera and cellular phones, PDAs, Point of Sale (POS) terminals and other handheld devices to access WLAN networks using a removable, very small form factor and low-power Network Interface Card (NIC). “The SyChip 6060EB WLAN embedded solution provides more than 70% reduction in size over current solutions available in the market. It also allows handheld OEMs and ODMs to decrease their time for WLAN integration by up to 6 months,” said Moses Asom, SyChip´s co-founder and senior vice president of marketing and business development. ”We will offer a complete range of Window drivers, including Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows CE (supporting CE 3.0 and higher for Pocket PC and CE.net platforms) and Palm OS (OS 4.x and higher). Our module is fully Wi-Fi certified and meets FCC and CE certification requirements". For more informatin visit web site of SyChip here.
