Release of Smartphone 2003 powered cellphones delayed in Oz January 13, 2004 [MS Smartphone] | By anonymous 1. People in Oz (known also as "Australia") are awaiting with impatience the release of Smartphone 2003 powered cellphones, 
but although some operators are offering there already Smartphone 2002 cellphones, still the newer one get delayed and people start ordering from abroad of Oz (for example from Malayasia): spoke with Tech Pacific who distribute the Xphone to harris, phoneshop, etc. They have the stock but are awaiting approval from ACA. have just cancelled my Australian order and ordered mine from Malaysia for 600 bucks. Pleae note: in similar situation are people in various other countries, where cellphones with Smartphone 2002 have been sold but no Smartphone 2003 is availble yet. Unfortunately all the fascinating features of Smartphone 2003 are not available in these countries, because HTC denies to release software upgrade to Smartphone 2003 for HTC Tanager model of their smartphones - users are stuck with Smartphone 2002 for ever (!) and only purchase of the new phone can help them.
