IPAQ Wireless Pack Petition Drive March 07, 2004 [Wireless (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, ...)] | By anonymous 1. Once upon a time there was an excellent brand for PDAs: "Compaq". Thanks to their flagship product - iPAQ - the Pocket PC platform achieved major breakthrough and became what it is now - the most popular and most powerful PDA platform. Then came HP who took Compaq over and although it continues development of iPAQ devices, they are no longer this what they once were... With wireless pack any iPAQ PDA immediately becomes a fully functional PDA phone (triband, GSM/GPRS compatible):
... but HP halted development and support for this product! So now users of these pack have opportunity to sign a petition, directed at HP, to continue support for this product! The Wireless Pack is a high-cost accessory (in excess of $500 US Dollars). For the past year, HP has shown a lack of progress on development of patches and support for this device under Pocket PC 2003, and compatibility with its 5000 series iPAQ´s.
