Reports of MPx200 Death Exaggerated

Ritch Blasi, Director-Media Relations from AT&T Wireless informed us that:

if you look at the AT&T Wireless website http://www.attwireless.com/personal/products/phones.jhtml?titleNumber=1 you´ll see the phone is still being sold. Just because we added an 850mhz overlay, doesn´t mean we´ve shut down the 1900mhz GSM network, nor that we´ve discontinued selling the MPX200.

Motorola MPx200 unfortunately doesn´t support GSM850 band, that is needed nowadays in USA to achieve maximal coverage. However still with GSM1900 support one can achieve decent coverage so it looks like Motorola MPx200 is not dead after all...
