CeBIT 2004 news: photo review of first Microsoft smartphone by Sagem - the Sagem myS-7 March 19, 2004 [MS Smartphone] | By anonymous 1. We have done all possible photos of Sagemīs new smartphone and we were even turning it on/ff, playing with software, taking out battery - simply everything - including comparative photos of Sagem myS-7 with Orange SPV e200 (currently leading, and already released, Microsoft Smartphnone) Letīs start this photo review from constatation that this Sagem myS-7 smartphone is not Sagem at all, it is just a Mitac phone. When turning it off and on we have noticed that this boot display from Mitac comes out:
... however next boot screen already points out that it is (more or less) a Sagem smartphone:
Here is Sagem myS-7 (to the right) compared to Orange SPV e200:
Here is a closer look at the camera (640x480 pixels) of the Sagem myS-7 - where you can see parameters: 1:2.8 2.0 mm:
Here is Sagem myS-7 (at the bottom) and Orange SPV e200 (on top) for the sake of size comparison (Sagem is not that thin after all!):
We have even taken out the batery of the sagem (it has capacity of 1050 mAh and is just a Li-Ion battery, not the latest Lithium-Polymer):
... but we havenīt discovered any label under the battery! (just Sagemīs SIM card) There was not even "Made in ????" or "Made by Sagem" - no nothing! Here are some screen shots of my-S7 that we made while testing it :
All in all the Sagem myS-7 looks like mediocre smartphone (VGA camera nowadays is too little too late, it must be more than 1 megapixel) but it has fast processor and if it will be priced below 400 euro it may have chances to succeed. Here, at the end, yet another photo of new Sagem:
