ROM upgrade to Smartphone 2003 for Motorola MPx200 exists March 22, 2004 [MS Smartphone] | By anonymous 1. Well, neither Motorola nor AT&T Wireless have released it yet, but we have it! Yes, the ROM upgrade to Smartphone 2003 for Motorola MPx200 exists. Probably AT&T Wireless will release it soon or maybe it will be selling only new phones with it - we donīt know. One is however for sure: this ROM upgrade exists, because we have tried it (it installs only in Motorola MPx200 phones purchased at AT&T Wireless, not in MPx200 from Orange) and it works as you can see in the following pictures. When booting, now, after applying of the new ROM upgrade to Motorola MPx200, the "Windows Mobile" logo appears: 
Then, while booting, comes the logo of AT&T Wireless and their "mlife" service: 
And here you can see the home screen of Motorola MPx200 with Smartphone 2003 running inside of it: 
Last, not least, here is Settings / About screen in Motorola MPx200 with the new ROM upgrade, screen, that shows exactly that this Motorola runs Smartphone 2003 operating system: 
Conclusions: as you can see above the ROM upgrade to Smartphone 2003 as such exists, so if you, as a customer of AT&T Wireless, feel that this ROM upgrade should be released faster - then ask your carrier - the AT&T Wireless itself - to speed things up!
