In love with Motorola MPx April 07, 2004 [Pocket PC phone] | By anonymous 1. Dale Coffing:
... an MVP that constantly is being paid by Microsoft for participating in exhibitions and Windows Mobile Tours (the "Microsoft doesn´t pay MVPs" fairytale was debunked by us already previously) is now wetting his paints out of excitement about Motorola MPx, to which he has access already, although the final version is not ready yet: I have one of their final designs and the keys were changed to a flat top with a better contrast on the letters to make it more readable. The bottom line is that I am really anxious to see how Motorola changes the keyboard. I think it would be beneficial if they just bagged the weird look to the QWERTY layout due to the phone keys and just make it a standard keyboard. Either way I just love uniqueness and wow factor this MPx brings to the table. Let me put it in a word for you.... it ROCKS! To read more of his impressions and declerations of love about Motorola MPx, including some pictures, click here. Please note that most MVPs, who are utterly uncritical to anything that is powered by Microsoft, fail to notice that Motorola MPx will have very tough competition from Nokia Communicators, that have bigger screen, are cheaper and have much bigger QWERTY keyboard... The only real advantage of MPx will be dual-hinge mechanism (it can be used as clam shell phone or as "notebook style" mini-communicator) and 1.3 megapixel camera with flash (latest Nokia communicator has only VGA camera).
