Trouble in (Update-) Paradise June 01, 2004 [MS Smartphone] | By Lutzh Haedrich. While Mobistar (Belgium) and Qtek have launched updates for their devices SPV E200 and Qtek 8080 there are a lot of rumours regarding a serious bug in the Rom (version 1.9.14.1) ![]() Qtek 8080 users and clients of the Belgium carrier Mobistar had to wait much longer for this update than Orange costumers around the world. So there was high hope – enlarged standby time, better Bluetooth support and fixes of other well known problems of the previous Rom versions. But guess what happened. While some users reported better performance and an enlarged standby time of their Qtek 8080 with the new Rom, there is a word of warning out there on some boards. It looks like the update has a serious bug included that leads to the disconnection of your SD card if it is not used for a while! What it means for you? If you want to use programs that you have installed on your card, or listen to music that you have stored on your storage card you simply get – nothing. Instead of your well known program list you get only the icons of the programs installed in phones memory. ![]() So if you want to use your SD card regular you should be careful with the installation of this update. You’ll find the updates here: Qtek 8080 , Mobistar SPV E200 by L00X
