Interested in creation of complex 3D graphics (like games and multimedia applications) on Windows Mobile devices? Well, now there is a framework that can handle this and it is available even for Microsoft Smartphone, not just for Poceket PC:
Hybrid's OpenGL ES API Implementation Framework brings embedded 3D graphics to mobile phones and embedded devices.
The customers for the framework are device manufacturers and embedded platform vendors. Hybrid's OpenGL ES API Framework is available for licensing now.
Hybrid Graphics is an active member of the OpenGL ES API standards body, the Khronos Group.
The Framework:
- Provides standardized 3D graphics support for any device
- Works in software only, multimedia accelerated and 3D hardware environments
- Includes extensive testing and verification tools to ensure the robustness of the implementation
- Offers support, integration and maintenance services for device deployment
The Framework consists of the following components:
- Embedded OpenGL ES 1.0 API implementation, including support for Common and Common Lite profiles
- Testing Suite
- PC implementation of the API for SDK purposes (licensed by Khronos Group for the official OpenGL ES Adopter's Pack)
- Optional M3G (JSR 184) API on top of OpenGL ES
- Optional JSR 239 API on top of OpenGL ES, when available
- Optional implementation for rendering 2D vector graphics (SVG Tiny and Basic profiles)
