Pte Ltd to sell and distribute the Voq Professional Phone to mobile professionals in Singapore - making Network Electronics the first to offer the Voq Professional Phone in Asia. A pocketable Windows Mobile-based Smartphone developed by Sierra Wireless, the Voq Phone has received regulatory approval from the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore and will be available to Network Electronics’ customers in Singapore in the third quarter of 2004 for use on GSM/GPRS networks. This follows expected second quarter shipments to channels in Europe and North America. Designed for business professionals, the Voq Professional Phone is a new class of mobile phone that offers the best features of a mobile phone, a personal messaging device, and a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant). The product offers a flip-open QWERTY thumbpad and easy-to-use software solutions, including out-of-the-box personal and corporate e-mail.
