Review : Orange SPV C500

Local Orange operator in Switzerland (a little country in South-West Europe where crimin@ls can open bank account without fear of being persecuted) has given away some Orange SPV C500 cell phones for testing purposes.
The review is in German (a language used by over 70% of Swiss people) but it offers several original photos (not just press images from Orange) and here we have translated for you the most important highlights:
- Orange SPV C500 is ugly but is smaller, faster and offers better quality of voice calls
- Orange SPV C500 should be essentially cheaper than Orange SPV E200
- joystick has poor reaction time and feeling to presses
- display and keypad are of high quality
- voice dialing over Bleutooth headset is possible now : just tap the Bluetooth headset, say the name of person to be called and the number of this person will be dialed! Very easy.
- Orange SPV C500 is much faster than Orange SPV E200
- according to the test that was carried out during the review, the stand-by time of Orange SPV C500 is 43 hours
- Java MIDP 2.0 is pre-installed in the phone what opens access to thousands of Java games and other programs
- Orange SPV C500 features "External mini-SD slot" with Orange Try card included in the package
- weight : 100 g
- physical dimensions: 108 x 46 x 16 mm
- radio interface: GSM tri-band 900/1800/1900; lack of 850 band makes it barely usable in USA
- Orange SPV C500 should be available by the end of July
