Software Review: Tube for Microsoft Smartphone from Visual Mobile IT Solutions
July 12, 2004 [MS Smartphone] | By Edward J. R.
If you are commuting to work not by car, but by metro (underground, subway, or whatever it is called in your city/country), then this review can show you in more details how you can facilitate this commuting with use of Microsoft Smartphone!
I use the Metro a lot, and am very familiar with how it works, travel times for many trips, and the relationship to below and above ground landmarks. But for some who are less experienced with a particular city the lack of connectivity between the two maps is a feature I would hope the developer would implement. Also missing is what is really the largest part of the system; Metro busses. But realisticly I don't see how they could be implemented as routes and timetables change frequently. All in all I believe it is a cool product with real-world use. Especially for out-of-towners looking for help to see the sights.
