Motorola MPx100 is no more - officially canceled July 31, 2004 [MS Smartphone] | By Edward J. R. First, a quick note about what was not at the event - the MPx100. Unfortunately, Motorola officials confirmed that this device has officially been cancelled. It seems that market demand is simply much higher for clamshell-style models, especially among the professional users that are the target market for the MPx series. To read more click here. We have been viewing the Motorola MPx100 during 3GSM congress 2004 and also we were fiddling with Motorola MPx100 during CeBIT 2004 but at Tech Ed 2004 conference Motorola already stopped showing Motorola MPx100 and presented Motorola MPx220 instead. It's too bad that Motorola MPx100 has been canceled: many people still like candy bar design and Motorola was even promising an add-on with Wi-Fi support for MPx100! (at the same time Motorola admitted to us that there will be no Wi-Fi support for Motorola MPx220)
