... and you get all in one: cell phone, PDA and car navigation system. We are reviewing here the only mapping software for Microsoft Smartphone that supports GPS! With these 2 simple devices - Microsoft Smartphone and Bluetooth GPS receiver + Mapopolis software - you will never ever again will be lost and you will get directions how to drive:
Here are some quotes about using GPS in Mapopolis program in Microsoft Smartphone from a manual: If you have an external GPS, either a serial or a Bluetooth unit, for the best results, you should start your GPS and allow it to obtain its fix before you start Mapopolis. Please note that an exchange of information must take place between Mapopolis and the GPS, and that, in most cases, "Stopping" the GPS does not cause most external units to lose their fix. Also note that an initial fix can take up to ten minutes to obtain. We recommend this procedure to obtain an initial fix: Take your GPS to a spot with an unobstructed view of the sky. If it is an external unit, power it up and wait up to ten minutes for it to acquire an initial fix. Then start Mapopolis and go to the GPS Screen. Select the "Start GPS" button, and your GPS should soon report "Running." To read this software review, where we are describing our impressions and experiences click here.
