Another place to buy i-mate Smartphone 3 - from your favorite Microsoft MVP August 19, 2004 [MS Smartphone] | By Edward J. R. Arne Hess is a Microsoft MVP located in EU, and he works now for T-Mobile Germany. Apart from that he owns a shop with HTC made cell phones. 
The good news is, that he will be also offering, with worldwide shipping, the i-mate Smartphone 3 phone (exactly the same model as Orange SPV C500, but without Orange branding): 
The exact date is not known - he doesn't want to express empty promises not to be fullfilled by reasons beyond his reach. He is also not taking pre-orders - one of dirty tricks of several online shops that take pre-orders for one price (say 370 Euro) and then raise the price (say, to 430 Euro) and that then try to sell the phones late and overpriced. If you value "community bond" and if you trust Microsoft MVPs, then this offering may be for you. Since Arne is also writing about Microsoft cell phones on his web site, he may also be helpful and useful after you will purchase the phone at his cell phone shop. We don't recommend him uncritically, we just point you out to this possibility, possibilty that is soon to materialize as he himself said... and as this new Microsoft Smartphone - i-mate Smartphone 3 - is so good, this time the sales at Arne's little cell phone shop may be much much bigger...
