Sagem myS-7 - French Microsoft Smartphone made and designed in Taiwan/China - comes to Orange customers August 30, 2004 [MS Smartphone] | By Edward J. R. What is French in this smartphone? Well, it is branded and distributed by French cell phone vendor - "Sagem". Apart from that, as we revealed as the first one in the world (and we got confirmation of this from CEO of whole Mitac personally and in flesh) it is just a Mitac phone designed by Mitac in Taiwan and produced in Mitac factories in China. So the difference between this phone and Mitac phones is mainly a design - it is a candy bar design:
... while purely Mitac smartphones are clam shell design. Other than that this smartphone shares one major disadvantage of Mitac smartphones: lack of Bluetooth. Therefore we warmly recommend you not to buy this smartphone because nowadays Bluetooth is a "must have" - as a solution for Bluetooth headset and for Bluetooth GPS receivers. If you are a small kid that has no use of Bluetooth headsets and Bluetooth GPS receivers we still advise you not to buy this smartphone - without Bluetooth you will miss one important thing: short-range wireless gaming opportunity - with upcoming Bluetooth games... To view webpage of Sagem myS-7 at website of Orange click here - at first it is available in France (Orange and Sagem are both after all French companies owned in majority by French companies) but it should be available also in UK and other countries, where Orange operator is present.
