Hardware review : Orange SPV C500 August 31, 2004 [MS Smartphone] | By Edward J. R. Here is another review of the Orange SPV C500, that is written with love and affection. It contains several screenshots and first-hand impressions from using of this phone. Since many people are now hesitating which upcoming smartphone to buy: Motorola MPx220 or Orange SPV C500 (or one of its clones like i-mate Smartphone 3), such reviews like this one may be helpful... Much has been made of the increase in the quality of the Bluetooth implementation on the C500, I can confirm that synchronization works well and calls made using my Jabra Bluetooth headset work at a greater range and to a higher standard in terms of call quality. The battery that comes with the C500 is a 1050mAh Li-ion which is slightly improved over the previous SPV’s however the vast improvement in battery life is more contributable to improvements made in software efficiency than this increase in capacity. [...] the implementation of Bluetooth, which was spoken of in the hardware section of this review, has been improved to provide easier, more reliable pairing and connection, this was needed as the Bluetooth on the E200 was a little unreliable on occasion.
