Another proof that Microsoft employs idiots: Microsoft launches Music Download Service but downloaded music cannot be played in Pocket PC and Smartphone ! September 02, 2004 [General] | By Edward J. R. While other websites about Widows Mobile are mostly maintained by Microsoft MVP folks, who are totally uncritical towards Microsoft and say no bad word about Microsoft's mistaken policies, we however tell you how it really is...
It's incredible how idiotic employees Microsoft employs! The MSN Music Download Service has been just launched by Microsoft but music dowloaded there cannot be played in Pocket PC and Microsoft Smartphone devices! On the other hand Portable Media Player devices went on sale today and these devices, together with some small MP3 players, are the only way to listen music purchased at Microsoft's music store in a mobile way! For god's sake: we have now very cheap SD cards (each Windows Mobile supports SD or mini-SD card slot) and we have very fast Windows Mobile devices (200 MHz for Microsoft Smartphone and 624 MHz for Pocket PC) - all with stereo sound output, but stupid Microsoft employees cannot understand that these devices constitute excellent music players and rolled out Music Download service which Pocket PC and Microsoft Smartphone can't use. We recommend to Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer to fire at least 50% of people from Windows Mobile and MSN departments, so they could learn at last to pay more attention what end users really need. Please note also that Microsoft, idiotically, sponsors (free gifts, costs of flights to USA covered, costs of lodging in USA covered, etc) some Microsoft MVP people, who are blatantly anti-Microsoft and who to a big extend popularize Microsoft competition: Apple iTunes and Apple iPod! Examples: Jenneth Orantia and Arne Hess. We have been contacting Andrew A. Brown (MVP Lead, Microsoft Digital Media/eHome/Mobile Devices/Tablet PC) from Microsoft, but we have met only derogatory comments from him! Shame on you Microsoft! Owners of Pocket PC and Microsoft Smartphone are again being neglected and again Microsoft loses huge synergy possibilities... Related links:
