Also Vodafone in love with Microsoft PDA phones: Vodafone Personal Assistant III ( VPA III ) announced ! September 09, 2004 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. Vodafone corporation has something in common with us: they too hate Nokia - that nasty corporation from Eastern Europe (Finland). And it is a fact, not opinion, because Vodafone is ordering Vodafone branded cell phones at Sharp and Samsung, but not at Nokia. Does it makes us friends? Yes! If that would not be enough Vodafone has just announced VPA III:
... which is powered by Pocket PC Phone Edition software from Microsoft, features built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and VGA camera and this phone is GSM QUAD-band so it covers also GSM850 used in USA!!! Vodafone is the biggest cellular network operator in the world and it selects Microsoft software to power its PDA phones. For a reason: it's the best software on this planet, much better that this kiddy stuff - Symbian. No, Vodafone is not branding yet MIcrosoft Smartphone phones, but depending on the success of T-Mobile SDA smartphone it also may happen... To read more click here (in German though). Photos of VPA III are available here - including high resolution photos. Credit: our German friends from Smartphone Web.
