i-mate announce four new products

New i-mate range marks a powerful entry into the consumer market, and cements i-mate’s position as the leading provider of superior mobiles to the business user.

Sydney, Australia – i-mate today are proud to announce the launch of its new GPRS product range, the i-mate SP3, the i-mate PDA2k, the i-mate SP3i and the i-mate JAM. Now in their final stages of development, the new i-mate range will be available to Australian customers in October.

Each new i-mate product is powered by the latest Microsoft® Windows Mobile software. They’re stylish and compact, yet very clever. The new i-mate products have been specifically designed to be easily incorporated into people’s everyday lives; at work or at play.

In Sydney today to announce the new range, founder and CEO of i-mate - Jim Morrison - said “We’re focused on delivering smart products, but in a smaller, more stylish, and more affordable form. The higher spec of mobile functionality should be on offer to a broader range of customers and not just the select few who can afford the top end devices. I expect these new products will have wide ranging appeal as they offer unbeatable value to everyone. This is our most exciting range yet.”

The i-mate SP3 is expected to be heavily in demand by the discerning mobile user wanting functionality, and a great looking compact mobile. It has a sharp full colour screen, built in digital camera, MMS & Bluetooth support, as well as a full range of applications including Pocket Outlook, Windows Media Player, Internet Explorer, MSN Messenger and Games. All this, in a café friendly cool blue metallic finish.

Likewise, the i-mate SP3i has similar functionality but suits the serious phone user with it’s simple joystick operation, 64K full colour screen, and a straight shooting black & silver finish. Especially built for dynamic 3D gaming, the device also comes packed with multiplayer, online interactive games from i-mate Interactive. The sleek device is designed to take gaming everywhere.

The i-mate JAM is set to become the ultimate single solution to the communications and entertainment needs of the modern Australian. The smooth curves of this tiny PDA hide massive functionality in its small form. It’s very stylish, packed with features and completely customizable. Designed for those who demand value without compromise on quality, the i-mate JAM effectively offers a SUVs’ functionality and a Rally Cars’ performance.

One of the best examples of i-mates’ passion for innovation is the i-mate PDA2k. This new product offers fast access to email and the internet via GPRS, and built in 802.11b Wi-Fi. The i-mate PDA2k also has a built in full QWERTY keyboard which is conveniently hidden behind the devices’ slide up screen. The Windows Mobile Second Edition software helps to deliver outstanding battery life, and enables screen rotation on the device so it can be used in landscape mode for convenient browsing.
