Jabber Messenger from Jabber itself available also for Microsoft Smartphone and Pocket PC September 20, 2004 [General] | By Edward J. R. By now we have had possibility to use Jabber -compatible messengers in Microsoft Smartphone and Pocket PC but only made by third companies. This time Jabber itself has just announced release of Jabber client for Windows Mobile devices! Jabber Wireless Options: Optional for Jabber IM and Jabber XCP customers. Suite includes wireless clients for RIM (BlackBerry), PocketPC, SmartPhone, J2ME, Symbian, SMS and WAP. To learn more click here: website of Jabber itself. This is a very fresh story, so it may be that it is not yet available on the website of Jabber! * * * * Jabber is not a "just another messenger" but a de facto industry standard, standard that is used not just in the Internet but also internally in corporations (in intranets).
