Back Offer When Purchased with AudibleListener Membership

Audible, Inc., the provider of digitally delivered spoken word audio, and Sprint (NYSE: FON), today announced a technology and co-marketing program that will enable users of select Sprint PCS Vision(SM) Smart Devices to play back audiobooks, audio editions of newspapers and magazines, business news and analysis, language instruction, educational programming, and all the rest of the 52,000 hours of audio content available at www.audible.com(R).

As part of the agreement, each new AudibleReady(R) Smart Device from Sprint will include the AudiblePlayer(R) application with introductory audio content loaded into the device ROM. The first such phone, the Sprint PCS Vision(SM) Smart Device SP-i600 by Samsung, is now available nationwide in Sprint Stores, online at www.sprintpcs.com, and in Sprint business channels and comes with Audible's branding and service offers. In a multi-faceted marketing program, Audible and Sprint are offering customers $50 cash back when joining an AudibleListener(R) annual plan or a complimentary free month of AudibleListener when joining on a month-to-month basis.

"Sprint is pleased to offer content that further enhances the user experience on a class of already robust and sophisticated devices," said Joni Lindquist, vice president of marketing for emerging and mid markets, Sprint Business Solutions. "Our Smart Device lineup for the remainder of 2004 includes some increasingly powerful productivity tools, and our relationship with Audible offers Sprint customers another method of staying informed and entertained while on the go."

Through this relationship with Audible, Sprint is offering business professionals a wide selection of educational, informational, and entertaining material that enhances the customer experience. Smart Device users can easily find and download AudibleReady material through on-device links. Content is billable through Audible by credit card. Audible gains a new delivery channel and its first co-marketing and technology agreement with a major wireless carrier.

"A key element of Audible's growth strategy has been to offer premium audio content to consumers on the go by striking device and marketing partnerships with powerful companies," said Donald R. Katz, Chairman and CEO, Audible, Inc. "This relationship with Sprint, focused on their stellar Smart Device product lineup, is Audible's first AudibleReady initiative for the wireless market with a major wireless carrier. We look forward to welcoming many new Sprint-Audible customers going forward and to evolving our partnership to leverage the latest device and network technologies offered by Sprint."

"Samsung's i600 is the ideal smart device to support the AudiblePlayer application and premium content that Sprint and Audible have bundled for business professionals," said Peter Skaryzynski, senior vice president, Samsung. "With enhanced audio entertainment features powered by Audible, the i600 offers users a robust converged device for both work and play."

Samsung's sleekly-designed i600 features Microsoft(R) Windows Mobile(TM) 2003 Smartphone software, including familiar applications such as Microsoft Pocket Outlook, Pocket Internet Explorer, Windows Media(TM) Player, ActiveSync(R), and MSN(R) Messenger. Users also will benefit from the expandable memory via an SD I/O slot, speakerphone, advanced voice recognition software, and voice notes.
