Motorola MPx220 warning October 08, 2004 [MS Smartphone] | By Edward J. R. Motorola MPx220 has not been released commercially yet, but some people are already selling "engineering samples" of this phone, that are not a final version of the phone, but just a pre-release prototype. Nowadays most users are considering just 2 options when buying new Microsoft Smartphone: HTC Typhoon (branded as Orange SPV C500, i-mate SP3, i-mate SP3i, T-Mobile SDA) or Motorola MPx220. To base your opinions however on the reviews of Motorola MPx220 would be big mistake, because by now all these reviews have been based on engineering samples, pre-production prototypes! Also if you would like to purchase Motorola MPx220 from second hand, you should consider rather waiting a bit and buy a fully commercial model (the very same applies to Motorola MPx Pocket PC phone): Motorola hadn't only improved the software but also the hardware and the latest software will not work that good with the previous hardware anymore but great with the final device. Therefore my clear advice is to keep the hands off from pre-production units, doesn't matter how alluring it is. On the other hand, the final Motorola MPx220 will become a great device, even better than expected and it's worth to wait for! To read the full story click here.
