Sierra Wireless has produced and released commercialy one of the least successful Microsoft Smartphone powered cell phones: Voq. Now Sierra Wireless announced, that it works together with BSQUARE to develop drivers and hardware designs. Since BSQUARE is also a developer of SDIO technology, that makes it possible to use Bluetooth and Wi-Fi through SD card slot (in Pocket PC devices mainly), there is a hope that also Voq smartphone will get once upgradeability to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.. * * * * * BSQUARE Works with Sierra Wireless to Deliver the Voq Professional Phone to Enterprise Customers BSQUARE Provides Consulting and Engineering Services for Innovative Windows Mobile Smartphone BSQUARE announced its cooperation with Sierra Wireless to expedite delivery of the Voq Professional Phone to mobile customers. By leveraging BSQUARE’s deep expertise in Microsoft Windows Mobile software for Smartphones, Sierra Wireless was able to extend its internal development team and bring the Voq Professional Phone to market faster. Developed by Sierra Wireless, the Voq Professional Phone is a pocketable Microsoft Windows Mobile-based Smartphone powered by an Intel Xscale processor. The product offers a flip-open QWERTY thumbpad and easy-to-use software solutions, including VoqMail, a secure, “Always There” e-mail solution that requires no additional enterprise server or desktop redirector software to purchase, install, and maintain.
