Review: which Bluetooth Car Kit works with which Microsoft cellphone ( Microsoft Smartphone and Pocket PC Phone Edition ) ? November 30, 2004 [General] | By Edward J. R. In Europe some cars are equipped with audio system that includes also support for Bluetooth enabled cell phones in such a way that you can make phone calls through your car without touching the cell phone. Apart from that there are some carkits that you can install in your existing car. In this review author is checking the following Bluetooth Car Kits: Motorola HFW8000, Parrot CK3000, Parrot CK3100, Sony Ericsson HCB-300 - with Microsoft cellphones! So if you are tired of using Bluetooth headset (it may look cool but these days it's already passé) then Bluetooth Car Kit is the solution! As mentioned above, all these car kits support the headset profile and therefore they work fine with the Xda II. However, what I've noticed during the tests is that you should have the latest ROM version for your HTC Himalaya (version 1.72.xxx which should be released by most carriers and OEMs now). Also the Motorola MPx220 and the Orange C500/T-Mobile SDA worked fine with all the car kits above. To read more, including photos, click here.
