Microsoft cell phones come to Japan at last: KDDI to start selling 2 Pocket PC phones soon

The name for these 2 phones is "Love Mate" and will be sold in 2 versions: Blue and Orange. They are made by Fujitsu and branded by KDDI - a Japanese cellular network operator. List of features:
- operating system: Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition for Pocket PC Phone Edition
- cellular system: 2G and 3G (CDMA 1x - only Orange model)
- Wi-Fi (Orange model only)
- Bluetooth 1.2 (Orange model only)
- big size (155 x 67 x 25 mm) and big weight 220g (Orange) or 190g (Blue)
- slots: CompactFlash (to add Wi-Fi card ! very outmoded - now all Pocket PC devices use either SDIO Wi-Fi card or have built-in Wi-Fi)
- processor: PXA270 (latest generation from Intel), speed: 520MHz
Commentary: these phones doesn't seem to be impressive but it is just a start. Pocket PC has very big number of passionate users also in Japan.
