Symbian fans defect and sell their souls to Microsoft January 21, 2005 [General] | By Edward J. R. 
Apparently nowadays the only loyal and sincere community websites about Symbian are : SymbianOne.com and my-symbian.com . Why is that? Because Rafe Blandford and Ewan Spence, who own AllAboutSymbian.com - the Symbian community website with 2nd biggest web traffic (after my-symbian.com, according to Alexa.com) have defected and created a website dedicated also to Microsoft mobile phones! Yes, they have sold their souls to Microsoft literally! Rafe Blandford previously already has been accepting trips to Mobius conference where Microsoft was paying for travel, lodging and where Microsoft was giving to Rafe gifts for free, such as Microsoft powered cell phones and PDAs. Anybody reasonable could consider such gifts to be just a bribe. Going to Mobius alone however wouldn't constitute betrayal of Symbian, but creating a website also about Microsoft powered phones, indeed is such a betrayal! The new website is AllAboutMobiles.com and it is owned by the same people who own AllAboutsymbian.com - Rafe Blandford and Ewan Spence ! This new website covers also Microsoft mobile phones and thus directly supports Microsoft, what proves once and for all that Rafe Blandford and Ewan Spence - owners of AllAboutSymbian.com - are not true fans of Symbian. Obviously from the point of view of Nokia such move of these 2 owners of AllAboutSymbian must be considered as nothing less than betrayal. Apparently Rafe Blandford and Ewan Spence - owners of AllAboutSymbian.com - have lost trust in Symbian if they find it necessary to create website also about Microsoft mobiles... and if even fans of Symbian are losing trust in Symbian, then clearly future of Symbian is not too bright...
