Round-up of latest HTC rumors

In latest days some interesting rumors about upcoming HTC made devices appeared and since HTC is the biggest manufacturer of Microsoft powered phones, and it is dwarfing even Motorola in this respect, it may be interesting for you to learn what's coming, so that you could take informed buying decisions in months to come!
One of most fascinating rumors is: HTC Magician 2 is coming - this fantastic mini Pocket PC phone (known also as i-mate JAM, MDA Compact, S100, etc) will be released in new, improved version: with built-in Wi-Fi (Skype-ready):
This is just one of the latest (more or less confirmed) rumors! Here is the list of latest rumors related to upcoming HTC made cell phones:
- HTC Alpine that is now sold by O2 UK as O2 Xda IIi and looks like Xda II but has additional megapixel camera, built-in Wi-Fi and fast (520 MHz) procesor will be released also by other operators and distributors: as Orange SPV M2500 by Orange, as i-mate PDA2 by i-mate (Carrier Devices), etc.
- apparently code name for T-Mobile MDA IV is "HTC Universal" and this 3G phone will go on sale also at other operators, not just at T-Mobile. Short list of features: 3G/UMTS (i.e. WCDMA, not CDMA EVDO), GSM/GPRS, Wi-Fi, 2 cameras (one of them for videotelephony), Bluetooth, Qwerty keyboard, rotable display (with similar principle as in Tablet PC computers)
- not rumor any more: Orange SPV M500 is coming - or in other words: mini Pocket PC phone known also as MDA Compact will be sold also by Orange
- T-Mobile UK will start selling T-Mobile SDA and also T-Mobile MDA Compact - not yet fully officially confirmed, although there are rumors that SDA is already on sale at some T-Mobile shops in UK...
- HTC is preparing Microsoft Smartphone phones with QVGA resolution (320x240) and built-in Wi-Fi - this is certain, but question is only the release date
Conclusions: the new Pocket PC phones from HTC are so good that they may endanger not only competition (i.e. Symbian and PalmOS powered phones) but also are becoming more and more appealing to smartphone users, particulary due to the fantastic mini Pocket PC phone - HTC Magician... because by now main obstacle in wider usage of Pocket PC phones was their size, that was usually big - belt clip was necessary and they were hardly pocketable, but now, with HTC Magician everything changed.
