... among which Nokia announcements (Nokia licencing 2 things from Microsoft: Windows Media technologies + Microsoft Exchange protocols) had nothing to do Windows Mobile but with other Microsoft departments. Here is a slide that proves that operators are earning much more money with Windows Mobile handsets than with Symbian and PalmOS based ones (results of independent research companies) - the slide here shows increase of ARPU and AMPU after operator switches from other platforms to Windows Mobile:
Here is the newly announced "Connected Service Framework" of Microsoft that allows operators to capitalize quickly on add-on services:
After presentation of Peter Knook, there was time for Q&A session in which 4 people from Microsoft were answering questions from physical audience (in the room) and from the virtual audience (in the Internet through live meeting and via John Starkwether, who spoke aloud the questions from the Internet), from left to right: Martinez (responsbile for Connected Service Framework), ???, boss of Windows Media division (Amir Majidimehr Corporate Vice President Windows Digital Media Division), and Peter Knook (top Windows Mobile manager):
