Conclusions: Microsoft's entrance in cell phone industry is improving on all fronts - Windows Mobile notes big growth but Microsoft enters cell phone industry also in area of e-mail protocols (licensing Exchange protocol - server-side ActiveSync - to palmOne, Motorola and Nokia) and in area of Windows Media (licensing it to Nokia). However, contrary to Samsung and Motorola that use various platforms in their smartphones, Nokia insists (yet) on using exclusively one and only one: Symbian...
