CeBIT 2005 coverage: new Windows Mobile smartphone: Pantech PH-S8000T March 18, 2005 [MS Smartphone] | By Edward J. R. Pantech PH-S8000T will be probably one of those very fancy Asia-only Microsoft smartphones that will never come to USA or EU. We have noticed it at CeBIT 2005, but due to CDMA compatibility it is on sale only in Korea. It is quite big but it has QVGA display (320x240 pixels) and a very interesting hardware design - with rotable display (so called "swivel clamshell"):

As you can see on subsequent picture this phone is not small - it is even bigger than good old Orange SPV E200:
Thanks to QVGA = 320x240 resolution the clarity of display is high:

All in all the swivel design is impressing:
Let's be frank about it: when this phone is in this position:
... then there is no way to take and make phone calls, because it lacks touch screen and has no additional buttons (HTC Universal / MDA IV - when placed in such position has "send" and "end call" buttons on the side).
