Shortly speaking: if you would decide to upgrade your Mac to Tiger (Mac OS X 10.4) then your existing Windows Mobile synchronization software will stop working... Mac OS X Tiger is in stores now and many Mac users are upgrading or intend to upgrade soon... and also now the amount of Mac OS X users is raising dramatically due to big sales of Mac Mini, so if you are Mac user and at the same time own Windows Mobile devices, read on! The Missing Sync for Pocket PC, version 1.0.4 Summary: Not compatible, paid upgrade available soon The Missing Sync for Pocket PC was the first Apple-approved, third-party plugin designed to work with iSync. With Tiger, iSync has changed significantly so that 10.2.x and 10.3.x iSync plugins no longer function. As a result, the current release of The Missing Sync for Pocket PC is not compatible with Tiger. Mark/Space has announced The Missing Sync for Windows Mobile, a major redesign of The Missing Sync for Pocket PC. This new product will offer many features over the Pocket PC edition, including Entourage syncing, Windows Mobile Smartphone support and a new plugin architecture. The Missing Sync for Windows Mobile will work with Tiger, as well as Mac OS 10.3.x. Existing customers will be able to upgrade to the new version for $19.95, with free upgrades available to anyone who purchased The Missing Sync for Pocket PC on or after April 1, 2005.
