Rumor: the successor to HTC Magician is HTC Wizard May 29, 2005 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. HTC Magician, known also as "T-Mobile MDA Compact", "i-mate JAM", "Qtek S100" or "Vodafone VPA Compact", has achieved big popularity, because for the first time full Pocket PC phone is available in a very small size, and at a very competitive prize! HTC Magician had however one small disadvantage: lack of built-in Wi-Fi. HTC Wizard fixes this problem:
According to rumors the successor to HTC Magician will be HTC Wizard - roughly the same size as HTC Magician, but with built-in Wi-Fi. Apart from GSM it is supposed to support also EDGE, but no 3G/WCDMA/UMTS. Another rumored Pocket PC phone from HTC is supposed to be called "HTC Galaxy" and additionaly offer also slide out keyboard. More information about rumored HTC Wizard can be found here or here. Keep in mind that this information is absolutely not reliable and may end up being just a rumor, but already previously we received tips that mini Pocket PC phone from HTC with built-in Wi-Fi is coming... so it is only a question of time, when such mini Pocket PC phone from HTC with built-in Wi-Fi will be released - there is no doubt about it. The only doubts are details and specifications. Credit: Carl Abramsson, Dale Winterstein and many others.
