How to connect notebook to Internet with help of Samsung i730 Pocket PC phone July 16, 2005 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. While in Europe it is obvious that users can use their mobile phones as wireless modems to access Internet, in USA still sometimes operators are blocking on purpose such possibility... of course in USA there is a flat rate mobile Internet access possibility - for low flat fee users get access to Internet without transfer limits - so operators in USA have some good reasons to block such access... Here is a limited quote from instructions how to connect notebook to Internet through Samsung i730: To set it up create a new dialup connection on the laptop with the “Bluetooth modem” selected. Pay attention to the com port for the “Bluetooth modem” on the laptop and set the same port under “dun” in the new BT software on your phone, and change the port speed to the fastest available on the phone. Set the username to: yourtendigitnumber@vzw3g.com and your password to: vzw and your dialup number to: #777 To read full instructions how to do it click here. Walkthrough with pictures is here.
