HP Germany has discontinued HP iPAQ hw6515 Pocket PC phone? + Skype works fine with this phone! July 17, 2005 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. This phone actually just went on sale in various countries so it is strange to find out that HP Germany already has discontinued it... it would be pity because we have results of tests that confirm that voice in Skype client working in this phone works very well... You can find here information that HP iPAQ hw6515 Mobile Messenger has been discontinued and is no longer being sold. Could it be that HP iPAQ Mobile Messenger will share destiny of Motorola MPx Pocket PC phone that went on sale in some countries in limited amounts but later one was canceled globally for some strange reasons? Unlikely. By the way: we are happy to inform you that it has been tested that Skype client works fine (including voice) with HP iPAQ Mobile Messenger having firmware version 1.01 and with use of Spectec SDIO Wi-Fi card ... so clearly Skype's requrement "Pocket PC must have 400 MHz or more" is not applying here - although HP iPAQ Mobile Messenger has only 312 MHz it is enough for voice calls over Skype - probably due to the fact that this processor is of newer generation and despite lower frequency rate is as powerful as processor of 400 MHz but of older generation...
