Good old FCC leaks more information about HTC Wizard : there are 3 variants ! July 28, 2005 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. Clearly there are 3 variants of HTC Wizard and 2 different types of the Qwerty keyboard. Firstly there is model WIZ200 that has rounded buttons that are separately sculptured and that features built-in camera::
Then there are WIZA100 and WIZA110 - with different keyboard (keys closely to each other and there are no spaces between them) and one with built-in camera and the other one without camera:
One can also notice in the documentation from FCC that this phone has both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi antennas and a slot for SIM card (GSM):
... but memory card slot is nowhere to be seen! Could it be that this phone has no memory card slot at all? Unlikely! However it is not clear whether this phone will feature full size SD card or just mini-SD card slot (or maybe micro-SD known previously as "TransFlash").. Interestingly some parts of the documentation (like user manual) are restricted now and will be released for public in September 2005 - so there is hope that we could see this phone on the market yet in year 2005 and not in first quarter of 2006 as some people claim! Please note that final look of the HTC Wizard may be yet different, than this one from FCC - after all external look of devices is to a big extend influenced by mobile phone operators and distributors... Here is a quote from HTC: We, HTC, Declare that the main boards of WIZA100, WIZA110, and WIZA200 are totally the same, and the only difference is the mechanical design. Moreover, only WIZA110 does not support camera function. We make these differences because of the different marketing purpose! Please observe, that contrary to some other websites, that were presenting above photos without specifying the source (here: FCC), we at msmobiles.com are always providing the original source and we claim no exclusivity.
