Tata starts selling Pocket PC phone EGO in India August 08, 2005 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. Tata Teleservices Limited known also under brand name "TATA Indicom" has started selling HTC Blue Angel Pocket PC phone under its own brand name "TATA Indicom EGO":
Tata Teleservices is a part of big corporation Tata, that among others is specializing in outsourcing of IT to India (it is number 3 after Infosys and Wipro) and thus in making many thousands people unemployed in Europe and USA... so it is not a wonder that by now Tata has sold only (!) less than 1000 (approximately 500) these Pocket PC phones! The idea that India could be good outlet market for western products (like Microsoft software) is not realizing... EGO is a multi-functional device, which caters to your every need. Its advanced features give you the flexibility to work at your convenience, anytime, anywhere. The EGO can be used for Voice, Data and Video and runs on the XP Microsoft Wireless Mobile 2003 Pocket Phone Edition – Pocket PC that allows you to create/edit Microsoft Word/Excel files. It has a built-in camera with a flash and also has a full-fledged QWERTY keyboard. Its 3.5" transflective TFT-LCD with a sensitive touch screen lets you work with ease. That's not all, television buffs now don't need to miss their favourite shows as they can subscribe to certain channels on their EGO. To learn more about this phone click here.
