Motorola is Getting its Groove Back - thanks to Microsoft Smartphone ... August 08, 2005 [MS Smartphone] | By Edward J. R. Major business magazine BusinessWeek is running a story that explains what is behind Motorola Q and latest wave of ultra-stylish designs and developments at Motorola ... shortly speaking: globalization and attack of Asian and cheap manufacturers, means that corporations need to rethink themselves as innovation and design oriented companies and not just as companies that are excellent in engineering only... 
Motorola also claims boldly that in 24 months (after release) the Motorola Q can outsell RIM Blackberry! Good news for Motorola and good news for Windows Mobile! ... however track record of Motorola with bringing latest models to market is bad - Motorola MPx100 smartphone canceled altogether and Motorola MPx canceled before it arrived to Europe and USA... so if there will be any delays with release Motorola Q then whole this plan may end up being just a daydreaming... Let us not forget also that operators in Europe need mobile phones with 3G very much (to recoup their multi-billion investments in UMTS networks) and here Motorola is also lagging badly behind Nokia, that is shipping 3G smartphones already for a long time...
