HP iPAQ hw6715 appears at HP UK website and features built-in GPS and super-fast Wi-Fi - 802.11g August 10, 2005 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. Apart from low resolution display (just 240x240 pixels) and apart from the fact that HP marketing people wrongly use name "Windows Mobile 2005" instead of "Windows Mobile 5.0" the new HP iPAQ hw6715 and hw6710 (without camera) have stunning specifications that will make heart of each geek beat faster : Some highlights: display: 240x240 pixels (above information about QVGA resolution is wrong) WLAN/Wi-Fi 802.11g - superfast wireless transfers - speeds up to 54 Mbps (compared to maximum 11 Mbps in 802.11b that is available in all other phones and PDAs) built-in GPS processor: Intel PXA270 312 MHz (less than 400 MHz but according to tests it is enough to carry out Skype voice phone calls) no SD card slot (because Wi-Fi is already built-in) but mini-SD slot is on-board; this mini-SD slot is hot-swappable memory: 128 MB ROM and 64 MB RAM To watch Macromedia Flash presentation (with embedded video) about this superb phone click here.
