Another multiplayer game from i-mate released - exclusively for i-mate customers
August 25, 2005 [General] | By Edward J. R.

i-mate company (formerly known as Carrier Devices) is working hard to convince end users to buy HTC made phones specifically from them rather than from Qtek, T-Mobile, Vodafone, Orange, etc. After all: all these HTC made phones are the same - the same models with just different labels on them.

Previously i-mate was offering, exclusively for owners of their phones (checked through IMEI number), a membership in "Club i-mate" that was giving at the same time: free account in MS Exchange (e-mail, calendar events, etc), cheaper or free software, built-in Skype client. The latest scheme of i-mate to attract customers are multiplayer games offered exclusively to "Club i-mate members"!

i-mate Lines Interactive is a classical puzzle game where you eliminate objects to win points. Rank your score and participate in tournaments on Club i-mate via wireless.

i-mate Lines features the following:
  • Online play with championship scoreboards and tournaments *
  • 3 levels of game play difficulty
  • Rich and customizable graphics and audio
  • Hit, undo and preview support
* A Club i-mate account and a mobile Internet or Wi-Fi connection is required to play online. Visit www.clubimate.com to register for a free Club i-mate account.

To learn more the latest multiplayer game from i-mate click here (MS Smartphone version) or here (Pocket PC version). Other such games are described here.

Conclusion: it is refreshing to see i-mate working hard to attract customers! While people who already have subscriptions with mobile phone operator will probably will be better off buying Windows Mobile phone directly at their operator, clearly for others it is worth paying a little bit higher price, to get so many additional goodies that i-mate offers through their "Club i-mate"! Now also: access to several multi-player games!
