HT Cho shift his responsibility of CEO and will focus his role as HTC's board member, and the chairman of HTC foundation, a public welfare organization. HT stated, "from the end of April of 2004, in completion of the position of the President, HTC operation responsibility had been gradually transferred to the new President, Peter Chou. I personally lessened my responsibility since then. Over the past year, HTC is not only well run by Peter Chou, but also repeatedly breaks through, which echoed from international customers, media, and shareholders. He has built up solid foundation for the continuum of HTC development. In consideration of my personal time management, I wish to allocate more time to participate in the matters of public service to pay back society. As to the development of HTC, in its strategies and management, I still will provide my suggestions as board member all the time." (TAIEX: 2498) today announced net sales for the first half of 2005 were NT$28,688 million and net income after tax totaled NT$4,056 million. For the first half of 2005, revenues totaled NT$ 28,688 million. Net income before tax and after tax reached NT$ 4,174 million and NT$ 4,056 million respectively, up 138 percent and 141 percent year-over-year. Earnings per share before tax and after tax were NT$ 11.88 and NT$ 11.54 respectively. As for the financial results of the 2nd quarter of 2005, total revenues reached NT$ 15,437 million and net income after tax totaled NT$ 2,484 million with 91% and 155% YoY growth respectively.
