Final proof that Handango are crooks ? September 18, 2005 [General] | By Edward J. R. 
For several years, and many times we have been pointing out that Handango is not a honest company but evil greedy organization that is ripping off poor developers by taking even 50% of money for software that is sold through their shop (this problem affects not only Windows Mobile software but other platforms too)... Here comes another proof that Handango is no good... Did you know that Handango are selling for $24.95 Smartphone themes which are free on other sites? The implication being that the theme is not being sold by the owner of the theme and despite being informed a number of times by several people, Handango refuses to acknowledge it. Handango's refusal to acknowledge the problem proves, that they are crooks. Here are two links to prove the point; On Handango, you get this: http://www.handango.com/PlatformProductDetail.jsp?siteId=1&jid=682DDX3931E8A54X3D7XCF6X2B3CA829&platformId=4&N=7&productId=171952&R=171952 (note the contact is someone calling himself theme_base@mail.com ) But here: http://www.symbianthemes.com/navigation.php?page=showitem&type=1&id=1975 the same theme by Meyerdierks - is free! Either the person who is selling them on Handango is a thief because he is not the author, or the person who made the themes for free is now selling them (which is not likely because if he was, he would remove them from SymbianThemes). Something fishy is going on here and Handango don't seem to give a damn. It seems that we were right about Handango the whole time... Please note: many other news websites are in business relationship with Handango - for example they have affilite software shops through Handango or sell software through affiliate links, and that's why they are not revealing nasty machinations of Handango.
