Palm announces officially (!) cooperation with Microsoft ! The revolution is on ! September 24, 2005 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. Next Monday Palm will hold a press conference where cooperation between Palm and Microsoft will be officially announced. Journalists are welcome to visit this press conference in person while the rest can view it through webcast. This is single the most important event in the history of Windows Mobile phones! ... and means practically that Windows Mobile gains strong ally in form of Palm Corporation, that has no intention to use Symbian in their smartphones however... Please note: contrary to what some deluded webmasters, like Peter Rojas, who revealed photos of Treo 700w think, this press conference is due to CTIA 2005 conference that takes place next week and not due to the fact that they published unofficial photos of this phone! Information from Palm follows. * * * * * Palm, Inc., Microsoft Corporation and Verizon Wireless Announce Press Conference for Sept. 26 Ed Colligan, Palm, Inc. president and chief executive officer; Bill Gates, Microsoft chairman and chief software architect; and Denny Strigl, president and chief executive officer of Verizon Wireless, invite the news media to join them for a press conference on Monday, Sept. 26, at The Palace Hotel in San Francisco beginning at 9 a.m. PDT. Admission will be limited to members of the business and technology news media who present current press credentials. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. outside the Twin Peaks conference room on the second floor of the hotel.
