CORRECTION: O2 Xda Atom is not HTC Athena and is not made by HTC October 10, 2005 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. ... but it is made by Quanta. Therefore our previous story about this phone can be considered rather as a rumor, not a fact. We have got confirmation from various sources - from Asia and Europe - that in fact O2 Xda Atom is not made by HTC but by Quanta. Still there are rumors that T-Mobile will release "T-Mobile MDA Compact II" - which is not HTC Wizard because T-Mobile MDA Vario is HTC Wizard... so there are chances that this T-Mobile MDA Compact II may be either HTC Athena or this Quanta-made mini Pocket PC phone! While O2 Xda Atom made by Quanta is quite nice - has built-in Wi-Fi, FM radio and is smaller in all dimensions than HTC Wizard - it apparently has only slow Wi-Fi - 802.11b, therefore it by no means is "spectacular". In fact both HTC Wizard and upcoming HP iPAQ hw67515 have also 802.11g so they may be more interesting. Anyway these days digital DAB radio is becoming increasingly popular (particularly in UK) so FM radio is a bit outdated concept already...
