K-JAM shortage plagues i-mate : Kemplar drops i-mate K-JAM , recommends QTek 9100 instead October 24, 2005 [Pocket PC phone] | By Edward J. R. Fortunately there are many possibilities to buy HTC Wizard Pocket PC phone ... Here is a message, that people who ordered i-mate K-JAM at Kemplar.com have received: Thank you for your order. Unfortunately, due to slow delivery and response time on the part of the manufacturer, Kemplar.com has elected to cease carrying this product. As such, all current orders and pre-orders for these devices have been cancelled. No charge will appear on your card. Current clients may consider purchasing the QTek 9100, a unit identical to the i-Mate KJAM in all respects. These units have been arriving on a more frequent and dependable basis, and they also have the benefit of sporting full U.S. warranties honored by U.S. tech support centers. Please let us know should you have any additional questions regarding this or any other item. Conclusion: soon T-Mobile will start shipping (very cheap) T-Mobile MDA Vario and also Qtek 9100 is usually sold cheaper than i-mate K-JAM. While it is true that i-mate offers a little bit more service and goodies, potential customers should not get impression that i-mate is the only choice. Our advice is simple: buy there where delivery time is the shortest and the price is the lowest. Don't wait for i-mate!
